Estate & Wills
The relevant law in Queensland is the Succession Act.
A Will is a legally binding document that contains details of who gets a person’s assets in the event of their death. It does not include jointly owned assets, assets in a family trust and assets in a company. Disputes about Wills are the most common types of claims. With a view to avoiding legal contest over a deceased’s assets, it is very important to have a properly drawn Will.
